The Province of Lesotho has now gone millions of miles in the ministry of proclaiming the Word, the Good News to the poor and the most abandoned in Africa and far off. The work started a long time ago in 1862 by the first missionaries but did not actually end at their death but as a result of everyone spared no time in proclaiming the Good News. We cannot talk about the Lesotho Province without Blessed Father Joseph Gerard and his colleagues, they reached Lesotho in 1862 and it is now 158 years that the Oblate spirit is still felt among the Basotho. Since then also, the Congregation is growing.
